It's modules include inventory, purchasing, distribution, manufacturing and shop floor that can be integrated together. (Data importable to Peachtree and Quickbooks.)
The Inventory Control Module is designed to perform as "Stand-alone" or along with other inventory software modules as an integrated system.
The Purchase Order Module integrates with all other parts of the software by creating a PO from re-order reports, sales order requirements, work order shortage and purchase requisitions. PO for outside operations like anodizing or sub-contracting can be created using the vendor's supplier kit option.
The Sales Order Module maintains the customer orders and shipment details. You can allocate, create purchase orders and work orders to fulfill the demand based on current availability. When the inventory is ready-to-ship, select the documents required (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of conformance CofC, certificate of analysis, etc.).
Work order / Shop traveler is a method of communication to the shop floor to make or repair a finished product from a list of components or BOM. Convert sales order to work order showing all materials and their respective quantities to be used (from the product's bill of materials or BOM). You can assign serial numbers, batch / Lot numbers as needed upon product completion. Attach documents, drawings, images, etc. to work order or traveler.
Shop Floor can route processes through pre-defined work centers. Define your work centers and the various operations that can occur at each one. Set each operation's projected costs for setup time (hours or minutes) and more.
Barcode scanners can be used for receiving, picking, and counting items. You can print barcode product labels, bin labels, shipping labels, etc. as needed. The vendor states that AMICS software is compatible with most barcode reading and printing peripherals.Author: Company Rep
