How To Be Successful At Guitar
Steps
- First you need a guitar. The cheaper the better, but for a beginner, get the squire Stratocaster starter pack, which costs about 215 dollars. Later on you can get more expensive ones. I currently have an Epiphone SG.
- Now you need to find a good teacher. Chances are first he'll teach you the notes and strings. But were not learning notes and strings.
- There are a number of ways and exercises that if you do it 3 days a week, you WILL notice a difference.
- First exercise: a basic 1-2-3-4 pattern. Start on the first fret, low E string, and go down to the high e, hitting the first, seconds, third, and fourth frets on every string. Then move up on fret, but this time go fourth, then down to one, from the high e to the low e. Go up to the twelfth fret, then go back down.
- Now you want to do the same thing, except stop using your 3rd finger. Same can be applied to seconds and fourth.
- Be the next Eddie Van Halen!
Tips
- If your fingers start to get tired, do it up to the 6th fret until you get a little more endurance.
- Remember, practice makes perfect. It wont happen overnight.
- Have fun!
Warnings
- Plugging and unplugging your cable too hard and too much can break your input jack.
Things You'll Need
- A guitar.
- An amp.
- A cable.
- A dedication towards music.
