How To Go Green
Steps
- The first stage in any venture of this scale is to take community action. Join groups of like-minded people; if you can't find any, consider starting one. Transition Towns are a strong force in society at the moment.
- Gather information on how your community or organizations around you are participating in going green.
- Begin to participate in daily activities, whether you are recycling a can or planting more trees. Every little bit helps, and the best way to teach others is by example.
- Share your information and experiences with your peers.
- Keep up with your green work and stay up-to-date with environmental news.
- Try every possible way to go green, if every one did this, imagine how much we would help the earth!

Tips
- Try to promote green awareness through things like bumper stickers and flyers.
- Participate in projects locally - grassroots movements are stronger.
- Start with small projects and move up to large ones.
- Try these simple (and more advanced) ways to go green:
- recycle
- put a brick in the TANK of your toilet to reduce the water that is used per flush
- use reusable water bottles
- do two car trips less a week (there are exceptions)
- eat local fruit and vegetables
- have a plant or two in your house, not only does it help the environment but it is healthy as well.
