How To Make Guitar Pick Earrings

Steps

  1. Buy two guitar picks that say something about you, not necessarily the same.
  2. Punch a hole in the middle-top of each (the larger side is best). You can use a thumb-tack, pin, small nail or even a math compass.
  3. Open up a jump ring and slide one end through the hole.
  4. Slide the jump ring onto the earring hook with the pick still on it. Close the jump ring and repeat steps 3 and 4 with the other pick.

Tips

  • To open up a jump ring twist the ends to the sides, away from each other to make it easier to close and so it retains its circular shape.
  • Music shops (as in ones that sell instruments) often have a large variety of picks in different colours, shapes and designs. CD shops occasionally stock some, but it would be better to visit a music shop.

Warnings

  • Don't poke yourself with the pliers!

Things You'll Need

  • 2 jump rings
  • 2 guitar picks
  • 2 earring hooks
  • pliers (optional)
